Bikes for Tykes is a charity team-building experience where teamwork meets purpose.
Through playful, problem-solving challenges, your team earns parts, builds bikes, and personally gifts them to children in need. It’s connection in action, felt in every laugh, turn of the spanner, and smile at the finish line.

I appreciate being able to run this session with the team and just wanted to pass on my gratitude.
We went with the “Bikes for Tykes” and it was so much fun! The team worked together to solve a bunch of different challenges – laughing, running, and collaborating in a whole new way. The facilitators were excellent and everyone was super engaged. We really liked that we were also contributing to a worthy cause, and feel lucky to be able to donate the bikes we built where they will make a real difference.
We have nothing but great feedback from the staff that participated in the challenge. Thank you to Corporate Challenge Events for putting together an amazing team building session for our branch. The day ended on an absolute high and all staff had a great day. We will definitely look to Corporate Challenges for our next function.
Our team building event was a success. All 100+ staff were engaged and understood every activity. Hugh and his facilitators were clear with their instructions and were active throughout the event to make sure everyone understood what they were doing. Everyone had fun and walked away at the end feeling upbeat about the team bonding that took place, and satisfied that our team were able to assist a charity to help children that were in need.

How Play Turns into Purpose
The Mission
Your team’s goal? Build the highest-quality bike. But first, you’ll need to earn valuable points to climb the leaderboard.
Challenge-Based Play
To get started, teams take on a mix of fun, team-based challenges. Each task is designed to get people talking, thinking and moving and yes, you’ll earn points for how well you do.
The Bike Build
Now comes the big challenge. Each team gets a dismantled bike and the tools to build it from scratch. This is where the real points come in. Your score depends on more than just speed. The better your bike, safe, solid, and well put together, the better your chances of winning. Our facilitators check every bike before it’s handed over, so the pressure’s on to get it right!
The Twist
Up until now, it feels like a fun team-building competition.
Then surprise! A local charity rep steps in, the kids arrive, and the purpose behind it all is revealed.
- Medals are awarded to the winning team
- Children arrive to receive their bikes
- Teams personally hand over their creations
That shift in the room? It’s powerful. It’s what takes this from just another team activity to something your people will remember.
